GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By booking a service with Julia Egger (hereinafter referred to as “the photographer”), the client automatically agrees to the following general terms and conditions.

PHOTOGRAPHY / COPYRIGHT

A photoshoot or reportage by Julia Egger is considered an artistic work and is subject to copyright. The photographs always remain the intellectual property of the photographer.

The digital post-processing of the photographs forms an integral part of the copyright. Altering, editing, cropping, or applying filters to the images by the client or third parties is not permitted. Any infringement may result in legal action.

After full payment, the client obtains a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use, including printing, archiving, and publication on social media.

Any form of commercial use by the client or third parties is only permitted after prior written agreement and against payment of a separate licence fee. The scope, usage, and duration of the licence will be explicitly stated on the invoice.

The photographer reserves the right to use the images for her own promotional purposes (website, portfolio, social media, print). Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the client consents to this. This can always be adjusted by mutual agreement for future use.

BOOKING / PRICES / CANCELLATION

Prices may be adjusted at any time. The price agreed upon in writing at the time of booking remains valid and unchanged for the scheduled photoshoot or reportage, regardless of any subsequent price increases.

A booking is considered final upon receipt of full payment or written approval of the quotation. For assignments exceeding €1,000 (excl. VAT), a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. The booking is only final once this deposit has been received.

In case of cancellation by the client, the following conditions apply:
– More than 48 hours in advance: no charge
– Between 48 and 24 hours in advance: 50% of the agreed amount
– Less than 24 hours in advance or no-show: 100% of the agreed amount

In the event of illness or force majeure, one new date may be scheduled in consultation. Amounts already paid, including deposits, will not be refunded.

For one-off or temporary events (such as pop-ups) where rescheduling is not possible, no alternative date can be offered and no refund is possible.
If the client arrives late to the appointment, it cannot be guaranteed that the photoshoot will retain its agreed duration.

DELIVERY / DIGITAL FILES

The online gallery will be made available after full payment of the invoice and no later than four weeks after the photoshoot or reportage, except in cases of force majeure or technical issues beyond the photographer’s control.

The number of photos in the preselection may vary depending on the duration of the session and other factors. All purchased images are delivered in JPEG format and may not be further edited (whether via editing software, filters, or other graphic adjustments). RAW files are not provided.

The photographs remain available in the online gallery or via a download link for a maximum of 30 days. They are then stored in the archive of Julia Egger for a period of two years, calculated from the date of the photoshoot. After this period, they can only be made available again in a gallery for an administrative processing fee of €25.

The photographer is not liable for loss of files after the retention period has expired or if the client fails to download them in time.

PAYMENTS

Invoices have a payment term of 14 days. Any additional costs or extensions will be invoiced separately.

In the event of non-payment or late payment, the photographer reserves the right to suspend all further services until the outstanding invoice amount has been paid in full.

All agreements are governed by Belgian law.
